Key Tactics

Having both Kandu and Tigraine gives you two ways to Destroy the opponent’s hand, but you’ll usually summon Kandu first to delay the opponent and stabilize your side of the board with Structures, so you can then use Tigraine’s ability safely the turn she is played.

Keep in mind that only the un-Transformed side of your Statues count as Structures for triggering Tigraine. Paying to Transform can be done on either turn though, so you can leave these Relics un-Transformed until you need a defender or a Soul removed from the board. Alternatively, you can keep them in hand and summon them for free after you’ve played Tigraine.

If you don’t have Baldaga in hand, but you do have one or both of your Legendaries, it’s usually best to take damage from deck in the early game in the hope of triggering her From the Grave ability. If you do, it can be a massive tempo swing in your favor.

Once you have either Baldaga on the field or two Gem-Infused Bulwarks, your cards are effectively immune to Rockslide. And when you also have Gerard Mounted on your Giant Riding Tortoise, your opponent will find it quite challenging to do Spell damage to you.

Grounding is an amazing Hand Block card, but some decks rely on a key Spell for a killing combo, so be sure to save one for that. In addition, if the opponent is running Spell based Relic removal, you’ll be glad you kept a Grounding when they try to remove your Kandu Fortress or a Blade Golem that is holding down the field.

While your Transform Relics can Heal themselves, a Gem-Infused Bulwark or two will often be the linchpin to your defense, so having a Repair Field Generator to help them stay standing is well worth the card slot.
