Key Tactics

This deck has a smooth source curve with multiple options at every turn. Compared to other midrange decks this one is less invested in a finisher card, and more into the obscene amount of life healing you get from Elsbet, the Crypt, and death source power. This deck can trade at card advantage, or win while trading at card disadvantage so long as you get value from one of your legendaries.

Your opponent will often take one damage rather than let you use a Thrall’s dying breath. You have Decaying Grasp and Water Source power to help you there if you need it.

If you devote a Wrath to attack you’ll almost certainly lose it before your next turn, but if you don’t devote it to attack there’s still a good chance of losing it before your next turn. Watch your opponent’s deck.

Watch out for hard hitting spells like Fate’s Judgement. Once Elsebet is on the field they’re practically the only things that can remove your vampires. Play fairly aggressively and try to hit the summoner hard before they have a chance to draw their big counters.
