Key Tactics

Your win conditions are Spine Crunchers and Tunnel Worms, against most decks they can pound through defences and send the summoner into the depths. Until then, your dwarfs can reliably defend their side of the board and make positive trades.

Coal to Diamonds is excellent at devoting your opponent’s weakest soul to serve as a target for overkill damage, it is decidedly average at buffing your own forces. Especially for big souls like the Spine cruncher; it will have to attack three times to make up for the eight damage it missed.

Argun with a Vampire Blade, or a Giant Centipede with a Soulforged Spear looks like an unbeatable combo. Expect them to die to a spell, archers, or a destroy effect. However, expect them to delay your opponent from attacking until they draw that card.

You can attack with a relic without focusing the wielder, but you won’t add the wielder’s stats or abilities to the attack. A Long Handled Axe deals four damage, that can be plenty. So does a pair of Crushing Hammers, but you’d likely want the maximum overkill damage.

Your opponent will likely attack a Forcepuller with their summoner rather than let it kill a soul. A relic, Boulderfoot, or a Boulderfoot with a relic can make this hurt.

This deck focuses on a centerline of three cost souls. Against a true rush deck, sideboard for the two cost souls. A single dwarf warrior can chew through its weight in imps or kobolds while shrugging off fireballs or shared punishments.
