Key Tactics
Handblocking is the key to this deck. You want to attack on turn one and keep on attacking for as long as you can trade one card in hand for one card on the field. Mulligan hard for a soulforged Sword, but relying on your natural attack on the first turn and playing Twin Hooked Axe on the second is almost as good.
A cheap soul that takes four or five damage to kill can kill your deck’s momentum. If you see one of those pull back until you can play a Nether Drake. However if you have enough handblocking and need to cycle your deck, charge right in and let it punch you in the face.
Between Misty and the Nether Drake you’ll have five innate damage without a weapon, that’s enough to kill most souls while defending. You can use a Soulforged Sword for attacking and a Twin Hooked Axe to repeatedly recover more handblocking.
Unless you know your opponent has no legendary, or you need to remove a legendary on the field, don’t even think of playing Orghast. He’s here because he’s Nether’s best handblocker.
Missed Swing can be an alternative win condition if your opponent plays a soul with a large enough attack.
