Key Tactics

With Fairy Gardeners and the Rod of Permanence or Fungal Farms and Labour Trolls you can build up an absolutely ridiculous amount of source. Then either Nosis or Fairy Princess converts that source into damage. 

You have a second viable win condition in opening with double Fairy Gardner into Fairy Princess.Seven damage on your first turn is what you’d expect from a rush deck, and even though your second turn will be slow if your opponent lacks removal or appropriate blockers the Princess will continue inflicting damage.

If you’re rich in fae source tokens, and you should be, draw two sources on your fourth turn and explode the rest to pull in your finisher cards.

Protecting your Rod of Permanence is paramount. If your opponent relies on spells to remove relics one or two ready Fae source will counter that. If they use Orbs of Unmaking your best/only option is to equip the Rod to a Dream Eater for Stealth, your Earth source will keep it alive against board clears like Rockslide. Or replace the Mushroomify with an Orb of your own and play your orb first. Remember, the Rod’s aura is inactive while it’s in Afi’s Mindhome so using her to protect it is a last ditch option.

Motley Crew is a premium defensive card, and a decent source of flying damage if you have the rod. Note the three way interaction between it, Entranced Servant, and Fungal Fumes. If all three flits die at the same time to expire or one big combat Fungal Fumes will do three times one damage in a single reaction chain, you choose how much to assign to the servant but its Resist only applies to one point of damage. But if they die separately an Entranced Servant will resist all the damage.
