Key Tactics

Thanks to Razafar this deck can run a unique mana curve, your three, five, and seven cost souls can all be played one turn earlier than expected, giving you a potential turn one Rasparr/Frayaz or turn three Lynox Ancient. The price you pay is that this deck expects to play a spell or nothing on turn two.

While devoted, your opponent can bypass blockers to attack Razafar, and you cannot focus or devote sources on your opponent’s turn. You’re a sitting duck, however a devoted Taur makes a great distraction and a Lyonx Ancient’s aura softens the blow.

Devoting a soul to attack trades a turn of defence for its attack next turn for an attack this turn and in isolation that is usually a good deal, however with Strong, Hunt, or the Lynox’s unique version of Strong it becomes riskier. The soul becomes vulnerable to things that normally couldn’t kill it at all, like a Ravenous Hatchling or Water Mocasian.

Your opponent can kill Rasparr by handblocking his eight damage, but even clearing their hand once can be an excellent move. With Challenge or Frayaz you can kill Rasparr yourself to remove your opponent’s hand.
