Key Tactics

The goal of this deck is to meditate once then either bring out a five cost soul your opponent cannot deal with yet on turn 2 or hives on turn 3. You have three four cost souls and five souls that cost five sources, meaning you can mulligan heavily for a Meditation.

Use cards like Switch and Readiness to play aggressively, then ambush the counter attack. Hitting a summoner for four, then removing two+ souls when you swap your summoner for a focused Grandmaster monk wins matches. And if you keep your opponent on the back foot long enough, you’ll be able to overwhelm them with drones.

If you mulligan three cards, your odds of opening with a Meditation is 74%, all four cards bumps it up to 80%. But be warned, that last 20% can hurt this deck badly.

If your opponent has good removal, don’t bring out a hive until you have a switch to protect it. Or at least a ready source and enough cards for your opponent to think you have a switch.

A windblade on your summoner can be an excellent counter to Fae or Fire rush, but you’re gambling that they have not yet drawn the relic removal they’re sure to have. It’s also an excellent way to get two damage a turn with a flying summoner or as equipment on Saorise. It’s not bad on a kestrel outcast against decks with poorer removal.

Every deck has some bad matchups, yours is archer decks. Use Whirling Edge as your main counter.
